Blended Movie Synopsis

Who would have thought that we’re actually going to bump into our blind date partner after a disastrous date with him or her while vacationing in South Africa?  Let’s catch "Blended" starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore to see how things escalate after that date. The synopsis as below :

Synopsis: After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren (Drew Barrymore) and Jim (Adam Sandler) agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again.  But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week.

“Blended” marks the third collaboration between stars Sandler and Barrymore, following their successful onscreen pairings in the hit romantic comedies “The Wedding SIger” and  “50 First Dates.”

The film also stars Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Bridesmaids”) as Lauren’s best friend, Jen, and Joel McHale (TV’s “Community”) as her unreliable ex-husband, Mark.  Kevin Nealon (“Weeds”) and Jessica Lowe (funnyordie’s “RobotDown”) star as Eddy and Ginger, an overly romantic couple who are also vacationing at the resort, and Terry Crews (“The Expendables 2”) stars as the resort’s singing host. Dan Patrick (ESPN SportsCenter) appears as Jim’s boss, Dick; and Shaquille O’Neal as his coworker, Doug.

Playing Jim’s three daughters are Bella Thorne (Disney Channel’s “Shake it Up”), Emma Fuhrmann and Alyvia Alyn Lind.  Kyle Red Silverstein and Braxton Beckham appear as Lauren’s two sons.

“Blended” was directed by Frank Coraci, who previously collaborated with Sandler and Barrymore on “The Wedding Singer” and also directed Sandler in the hit comedies “The Waterboy” and “Click.”  The screenplay is by Ivan Menchell & Clare Sera.   The film was produced by Mike Karz, Adam Sandler and Jack Giarraputo, with Barry Bernardi, Josie Rosen, Tim Herlihy, Allen Covert and Steven Koren serving as executive producers.

Collaborating with Coraci behind the scenes were director of photography Julio Macat (“Pitch Perfect”), production designer Perry Andelin Blake (“The Wedding Singer,” “Here Comes the Boom”), editor Tom Costain (“Grown Ups”) and costume designer Christine Wada (“Bridesmaids”).   The music was composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams.

Aquaretro In Putrajaya

School Holiday Breaks just around the corner. The parents should spend time with their children. Recently, when I read The Star newspaper, I found the article about Aquaretro in Putrajaya. So unique, vintage and 'chill' environment when  I put myself at there. Please take note it was my imagination. The article as below :

" Visitors to Putrajaya can add boating to their list of fun activitites that they can do with their family and friends. Aquaretro is a new attraction at the Putrajaya Lake Cruise in Precint 1, where visitors can navigate the boat themselves. It is easy to navigate the boat with one simple button to turn the power on and off. Recreational boaters only need to know how to turn the steering wheel. The navigation is easy enough that even children can try their hand at steering the boat.

Each visitor will be given a life jacket and a short briefing by the boat operator before cruising on the largest man-made lake in Putrajaya for 40 minutes. The boat can travel less than five miles per hour or 1.5 knots. Model like a classic car, Aquaretro  is fast becoming a favourite among the visitors to Putrajaya.  The boat service began operations in February. The boat designs were patented in Miami, Florida and installed in Beijing, China. The boat  is environmental-friendly because it uses battery power. It needs to be charged for 9 hours.  Each boat can operate for six hours if each trip takes 40 minutes.

It is a fun activity that both adults and children can enjoy. The rates are RM50 per boat (with Mykad) and RM100 (without Mykad) for 40 minutes. One boat can fit four adults. The boat services operates from 10am to 7.15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 10am to 10pm (Friday to Sunday). For details , kindly visit www.facebook.com/aquaretro. "

6 Things Every Guy Wants Their Girl To Know About Football

The football World Cup is coming and seeing how the male brigade goes crazy and their female counterparts feel left out. So, I thought it would be a good idea to give the girls a crash-course in all that is there to know about football and how not to embarrass themselves.

  • One team consists of 11 players INCLUDING the goalkeeper. Not 10, not 12 and not 13.
  • There's only FOUR positions available in a team namely goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and striker...or forward
  • One game consists of two halves, the first half and the second half. Each half last for 45 minutes. So, one football game or two halves equal to 90 minutes. Do the math.
  • A goal is worth 1 point. There's no 3 points in football like in basketball. But wait, I bet girls don't even know there's 3 points in basketball, right? Just kidding
  • When a player manages to score 3 goals in one game, we call it a HAT-TRICK. Well, not the one that the magicians usually do on stage.
  • World Cup and European Championship only happen ONCE in four years, just like the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games

9 Things Girls Can Do Under 1 Minute For A Better Day

These 1 minute routines may just be the thing you need to make your day better!

  1. Look at something awe-inspiring - this can help you feel happier and even enhance your quality of life. By looking at something awe-inspiring such as the Grand Canyon for a few seconds is enough to help you feel happier and even enhance your quality of life, says a recent study from Stanford University.
  2. Make your bed - covering up the place where you sleep with a comforter can help keep allergy-inducing critters and particles out. Dust mites and small bugs love getting under your covers as much as you do, so covering up the place where you sleep with a comforter can help keep allergy-inducing critters and particles out.
  3. Record your blessings - Gratitude is a health-promoting emotion that can improve your quality of sleep.
  4. Touch your toes and hold for a minute - It opens up your hip joints, which is where most people store tension.

  5. Brush your tongue - The back of the tongue is a popular hangout for bacteria and other germs that can give you bad breath.

  6. Sniff a lemon, basil or lavendar - These scents have been found to lower stress.
  7. Play some music while you're getting dressed - kick-starting your morning with some music will get you in a good mood.
  8. Drink ice-cold water - it increases your metabolism and helps you feel more awake.

  9. Give your beautiful eyes a break - for every 20 minutes you spend on the computer, glance away from the screen for at least 20 seconds by looking at something 20 feet away.

Adidas ZX750

Classics are essentially the snake eating its own tail, an Ouroboros sans the morality tale of repetition fatigue. This is why great fiction is often time repeated, fashion motifs recur every new decade, and popular series of kicks come in seasonal cycles – we simply demand that they are to be immortalised. For good reasons, we can’t imagine the streetwear scene without the Adidas ZX series.

Having debuted since 1984, the model has seen many redesigns and add-ons to its original template. The current SS14 iteration is a perfect mix of past, present, and future, retaining the ZX’s celebrated shape while updating it to modern taste. This new collection features an even bolder infusion of tropical neon and a rich, earthy colour palette.

Adidas Originals uses a combination of polyester mesh and polypag foam for the brand new Adidas ZX700′s uppers with synthetic suede on the reinforcement panels. Style wise, the ZX700 features a bold two-tone colourway contrasted with the three-stripe mark, heel-tab and midsole accents, and the introduction of reflective inserts on the heel and toebox to this SS14 season.

Meanwhile, the Adidas ZX750 continues this season’s focus on Adidas running shoes of yesteryear. With its modern touches, the ZX750 is bound to make a splash with an aggressive style, sophisticated leather build, eye-catching colours and slightly jagged sole that shouts out for attention no matter where style and fitness beckons.

The ZX700 and ZX750 retail at MYR340 for both men and women. The range can be found at the following adidas Originals Concept Stores:
• Adidas Originals Midvalley (Ground Floor)
• Adidas Originals Pavilion (Level 4)
• Adidas Originals KLCC (Level 3)
• Adidas Originals Berjaya Times Square (Ground Floor)
• Adidas Originals 1 Borneo

Also available in stores are the ZX100, ZX630, ZX710, ZX8000 and ZX850 at all Adidas Originals Concept Stores and select stockists across Malaysia.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

If you ever wondered if there was a sequel to the X-Men trilogy in 2006, our favourite mutants are back with the sequel to both X-Men: The Last Stand AND X-Men: First Class! Better yet, they will be battling it out amongst themselves. How cool is that? So, to determine either this movie is so bombastic or not, you guys can vote and give the star after watched this movie on 22 May 2014.

Synopsis :

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.  Bryan Singer, the visionary director who brought us the original X-Men movies, says Days of Future Past will take viewers on an emotional ride.
“The stakes are high, not just for the world and the future but also the stakes of some of the characters,” says the director.

Clearly there was enormous fragmentation between the characters that happened at the end of First Class. That left the characters on a certain path. This movie will show you where those paths lead.

What is rotavirus?

Rotavirus is the leading cause of severe diarrhoea in infants and young children. Rotavirus infects and damages the cells of thesmall intestine leading to gastroenteritis – rotavirus is the main cause of severe, dehydrating diarrhoea in young children. Rotavirus is a democratic virus because every child, rich or poor, may be infected in the first few years of life. Even in places with clean water and good sanitation, children can be infected. Almost all children will have been infected with rotavirus by the time they reach 5 years. A study indicated that 86.1% of rotavirus gastroenteritis cases occur in children aged between 3 and 35 months

How is diarrhoea caused by rotavirus different from diarrhoea caused by other infections?

It is often hard to tell the difference as the symptoms are likely to appear the same. However, the symptoms of rotavirus infection are often more severe than other viral and non-specific causes of diarrhoea.9 Symptoms may include:

  • vomiting and may last up to 8 days
  • severe watery diarrhoea (up to > 10 episodes a day)
  • abdominal pain
  • fever
Watery diarrhoea & vomiting from rotavirus infection may lead to dehydration (loss of body fluid). Untreated severe dehydration can cause serious health problems such as organ damage, shock, or coma (a sleeplike state in which a person is not conscious)

Reasons Why Money Was Introduced In the Economy

In developed market economy, all the exchanges involved in distributing the goods and services produced in “the real world economy” require the use of money as a medium of exchange. Therefore we cannot practice barter system now. Can you think of a few reasons why this is so? We cannot practice barter system now due to the following reasons:

1. Barter system is inefficient and cannot be practiced in a more complex economic system like we now

2.  Barter system failed to provide the “double coincidence of wants”, which means that a person must not only establish contact with someone who has the same but the opposite wants.  This means that a person who wishes to exchange a book for a magazine must find someone else that has a magazine. They must also agree that the book and magazine are have an equal value.

3. The barter system wasted time and energy in searching the market or to find a person in order to establish the double coincidence of wants.

4. The above process of searching for double coincidence of wants results in an unnecessary search costs or transactions costs.

5. Barter system prevents the development of specialization decision of labor and the large-scale production which provide the foundation for the productive efficiency and range of consumer choice available in a modern monetary economy.
