Malaysia is known for its great and sumptuous foods
including beverages and sweets. Malaysians love drinks with healthy amounts of
sugar syrup. Below are the five Malaysia drinks that you shouldn’t miss.
1. Teh Tarik
It can be noted as the country’s national drink. Teh
Tarik is a tea, the sweet, bitter and strong kind. It is mixed with lots of
condensed milk and the mixture is pulled from one glass to another for numerous
times to form a frothy goodness. It can be served cold at drinkable level or
iced cold.
2. Kopi O Ais
It is a Malaysian version of iced coffee. It is widely
served anywhere and on street markets for some few bucks. Kopi O Ais is usually
combined with sweetened condensed milk but you may opt to not have it mixed if
you want it more refreshing and not so sugary like dessert.
3. Milo Ais
Most of us are familiar with Milo, the malty breakfast
drink. However, Milo isn’t just an ordinary malt beverage in Malaysia; they
serve it with a twist. They offer it hot, cold, and ice-cold in cans and juice
boxes.
4. Limau Ais
This can be your perfect partner for a hot sunny day in
Malaysia. Limau Ais is an iced lime juice prepared with fresh, sweet and tangy
lime juice, mixed with water, sugar syrup and ice. If you like lemonade then no
doubt you will love limau ais.
5. Nutmeg Juice
Nutmeg is a fruit that is unlikely to be juiced by the
rest of the world except Malaysia. There are health benefits that you can get
in drinking nutmeg juice; however, it should only be taken twice a week as it
can also be bad for your health. This juice when taken in suggested amount will
make your blood less likable to mosquitoes.
